Solved - Help with LAMH player?

Hi! :) So I got the lovely AM Bear recently and after I installed it, I saw there were LAMH figures included. I also saw a free player in my downloads. But it didn't show up in my DIM so I manually downloaded and installed it, but I can't figure out where to find it. Or how to use it. Or what it is exactly...Help?

    I did look there but didn't see it. The manual install installs it to "Start menu > Daz 3D > Installed Content" But I can't even find that folder or where it is supposedly installed.

    maybe a better question: Where SHOULD it be manually installed? Does it go into my regular content installs? or into the folder in Program files? So...Do I install it to

    Users > Documents >DAZ 3D >

    or 

    Users > Documents > My Daz 3D Library 

    or 

    Windows > Program Files > Daz 3D 

    or somewhere else?

    Plug-ins have to go to the application folder, which requires admin rights - it is easier to use an installer.

    Have you checked in DS : Help - About Installed Plugins... ?  There should be a "Look at My Hair Player..." in the list... tick to Enable it and relaunch DS. You'll get it under Windows - Panes menu item.

    Besides, I checked... there's a DIM version IM package, better install it with DIM.

    Lamh Player, if I remember right, only works in 3DL. Some will say differently if I am wrong..

    You're right. All LAMH versions are with RSL. Only LAMH2Iray Catalyzer supports Iray (MDL) , with Catalyzer Presets.

    I tried to use the DIM installer, but once I hit download, it dissappeared and never showed in the install tab and never showed in downloads again. I tried a manual install but it didn't seem to install anywhere and I couldn't find it in any folder.

    All presets of LAMH are with RSL Shaders... but Yes, Iray Uber shader can always be applied on them... though it's not as good as Catalyzer presets.

    It should be under Window > Panes (Tabs) > Look at my Hair, there are no content files, everything goes into the plugins directory

    As I shared in my first round of images... It's just not there.

    Not in "About Plugins", not in the "Panes" tab, not in the DIM, not in Smart content... Just not there.

    I downloaded the manual installer and it says it installs and even creates an uninstaller... but it's just not there. LOL. laugh

    That's why I'm confused! I've submitted a ticket. I don't know what else to do.

    P.S. It was in the DIM for download at first, but after I clicked to download it, it disappeared and didn't show up in the install tab and I didn't see it again in there.

    Neither the LAMH free or full plug-in have DIM downloads. They need to be manually downloaded from one's Product Library.

    From the days of yore, anytime a product has both a zip folder AND an .exe option: The .exe is for Windows and the zip is for Mac.

    The free player does not have a serial number. The full player does. [found on Serial Numbers page in Account]

    If one buys the full player, uninstall the free player FIRST, then install the full player. [otherwise it won't work correctly]

    If you filter in DIM by typing LAMH Player in the filter box, it isn't showing in any of the three tabs?  Even if you click the "Display Hidden" box?

    I have the free player installed with DIM 

    DIM installed both, and then I had to uninstall the Player.

    Both of them have DIM downloads... we just have no idea why OP could not see it. And yes, they're mutually exclusive...

    I have both in my Product Library and I assure you that neither has DIM downloads. Only manual, zip and .exe.

    Maybe once there were, but there certainly aren't any now.

    It is coming up on my DIM as available. I have it hidden as I don't need it because I have the full LAMH and installing the two causes conflicts so you can't have both installed at the same time.

    I don't know what changed, but it showed up in my DIM somehow and I got it to install! smiley Yay!
