Materials presets for Blender? Yes, with Diffeomorphic!
Are there materials presets for blender similar to the ones in Daz Studio?
Historically I would model objects in Blender, assign material groups, then export everything to DS for rigging and material setup. Lately I have been learning native blender materials. However, I would still like to apply different materials in blender, using a shape key and giving a different look. In DS the materials can all be saved as a preset and applied with a double click.
I know about the Asset Library, but it still seems that each material would have to be applied one at a time. Is there something similar to a material preset in blender that can be saved and easily reapplied later? Am I missing something simple? It seems like a lot of work otherwise.

No there's not at least not in the blender default distribution. May be there's some addon to save and load a material set, otherwise each material goes by itself in the asset browser. However, if you use diffeomorphic, there's the "make palette" tool which allows exactly what you need. It saves a set of materials that you can load back on a figure, same as daz studio.

Good to know, I will look into that.
So, ok, I have created a palette and added it to the Asset Browser. Does this offer any advantage over just manually selecting all the materials in the outliner and setting them all as assets? Can the palette be reapplied all at once, or still just one material at a time?
I apologize if I missed some obvious documentation.
EDIT: Yes, found it under copy materials, I can just copy from the palette back onto my object. Diffeomorphic rocks!
