Daz Studio Lights and Iray

Okay....

So I have never really understood Daz Studio Lights. Today I got the freebie Horse carriage here: https://www.daz3d.com/royal-carriages-for-millennium-horse

and decided to drop some Iray Shaders on it and check it out. But.... You couldn't see the glass because it was dark inside the carriage, so I added a light inside. But...whenever I do this (add a light that is not the environment IRAY HDR thing) everything in my viewport turns black. It renders fine. But it makes it very difficult to navigate the scene. Does anyone know a solution to this?

First pic is before I add light. The second one is what happens in my viewport once I do add a light and the last one is the rendered image.

Go to the "Windows" menu in the top bar. There's an option - "Preview Lights"? something like that - that's on by default. Switch it off and your scene should become visible again.
