Content window has disappeared!

Someone please tell me what to do about this; the content window contents have disappeared although the tab still shows. Have clicked on all of the arrows and what not to no avail.

It's hard to be sure from the description, an image might help, but the usual issue is clicking on the panel collapse/expand hot-spot by accident. If you look at the dividers under the folder area, assuimg you still have that, you should see a darker area (a couple of arrowheads) - click that and see if it expands the file view.

what i do is just reset layout windows, workspace, layout and set it to what you like should work

but hey what do i know

Reloading the layout works, but of course loses any other desired adjustments to the workspace too which is why we were trying to suggest a less sweeping approach. If you don't make changes you want to keep then reloading the layout is a good fix.

Of course a good compromise is, once you have a customized layout, without errors, save it.  That way you can reload it and not lose anything.

Window > Workspace > Save Layout As  or F4.

Thanks for all of the helpful advice.  Haven't touched DS in a couple of years due to relocation to our retirement home. Only took 4 years to get things sorted out<G>!
