daz install manager just won't install

Daz Install manager won't install on my computer. Even when I try to open the DIM... exe file with adminstrator privileges, nothing happens. I'm running 32bit vista. Tried disabling firewall. Doesn't help. Have 4.5 installed and works great. Can't download 4.8 without Daz Install Manager. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Well that isn't helping much...I've had more trouble getting things to run in Vista than I've had running the same things in WINE on LInux!
But all kidding aside...
Are there any error messages? Anything in Windows Event Viewer?
Hi! There aren't any error messages. Checked the WEV, and nothing logged. I must add that the file does extract in a folder, but no exe files are present. A "0" file of approx. 28 mbs is created, with no extension. I turned it into an exe file and when I clicked on it the cmd window appeared for a second. Again, no log. Thanks for the feedback! My machine's details: pent duo-core 2.93ghz, 2 gig ram, 500gig hd, 512 mb vid card. Runs smooth and fast.
