Sharing work-space layouts between computers/users?

I saved my workspace layout on my mac, and I have found the file it created. Now I'd like to copy that file over to a new windows computer so that my DS will look the same(ish). However, I can't seem to figure out how to find that file. Windows keeps trying to search the web for test-layout when I created the layout on the windows side hoping to be able to trick the OS to show me where it stores those.

Does anyone know where it will be? Is there a way to tell windows I'm not an idiot and can be trusted to see magical directories that contain important stuff that shouldn't be deleted?

  • C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\DAZ3D\Studio4\User Layouts - AppData is a hidden folder, you can enable its display via a check box in the ribbon bar in 8+ or the Control Panel Folder Options applet.

  • Thanks! I did eventually find the Show Hidden checkbox after digging. Now both look about the same. Very cool!
