Hi yall!
I wanted to know if the suit that is in the new product promo "A Gentle Man Poses for Genesis 9" is a new G9 suit or if it's an G8M?
If a G8M I probably already have it,
but all the suits I got haven't been able to convert with the script, not sure whats the issue but some cloth parts works and some like the jacket won't specially with the buttons as they are "attached" and not in one piece to do the dForce magic

It does look nice but I don't know the answer to your question.

Since there were products listed used in the promo and it is not there, it was either made for the promos or it is from another site. Maybe someone who frequents Rendo might recognize it?
Something similar for G3M: https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/113302/gentleman-suit-for-genesis-3-males
I think the jacket is G8M from here: https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/141563/man-suit-for-g8-males
Not sure about the exact trousers or shoes

Richard
Based on the suit blazer pocket, which is not a flap, and the narrow lapel,
I would hazard that this is fairly close: dForce Gentleman Suit for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Males | Daz 3D
Pretty sure it's this one:
dForce MI Two-Piece Business Suit for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Males
I have that one and it is one of my favorite suits, and I have tried to use the script to convert it to G9 but it either failed OR just converted some parts of the attire :(
any advise how to sucessfully convert it? I imght have to use blender to convert it, but I haven't manage to do the buttons with dForce.
If I can get my brain in gear and remember things, MelissaGT said a day or two ago she often uses Autofit in preference to scripts for getting G8M clothing to work on G9 as it seems to work better. However.. I have almost no male G8 characters or clothing and I have absolutely no G9 males, so I cannot verify if this is correct from my own experience. But, MelissaGT is one of the most exacting users of DS that I know of, and as a result I try to listen carefully (possibly less sucessfully this time than I'd hoped..).
Regards,
Richard
According to the readme the buttons are separate props so probably done via Rigid Follow Node attached to the suit so they won't convert but can be adjusted and placed on the converted suit. You would need to set them up as Rigid Follow Nodes to have them follow the suit properly after conversion though. Check out the link above it is to Josh's Tutorial on RFN's and is easy to follow!
I guess the chase is over:

Yes, you're correct!
Woot!
still hoped it would have a Tie or Bowtie add-on
There is a new product that also got a suit with tie in the promo this time that might look new:

Can't really say I've seen this one before...
