Keyframes not saved

Hi all. I'm on OS Venturea for mac running DazStudio 4.22. I've been using DAZ for years and haven't had the problems I'm having with this version. I'm going to look for an older version and hope to install it.  But if you can help me fix THIS version I won't have to worry. I made a simple animation of a man sitting and sipping a drink. I saved it, and closed the program. When I imported the animation after a couple of days, every sing frame appears to have some kind of "key" assoicated with it. It's a long animation and I don't remember my keyframes. They usually saved. I admit, I didn't "save" as a duf file and maybe that was my fault. I just exported the animation. I never had an issue with this before. Is it a problem I didn't save as a .duf file? Or is there something else that can be done to salavage this animation?

Exported the animation as what? BVH? FBX?

Either way, I've never worked that way, so I won't be any help right now.

  • It was exported as a .bvh

Oh... I have a feeling I know what happened:

Animation exports like BVH and a general aniBlock, for example, will only hold Actual Joint Rotation data. So any of our Pose Control dialed-in info will not show up when bringing it back in.

We'd need to convert the Morphforms to Joint rotations first.

In aniMate, when creating the keyframe, we'd just need to select the "Include Morphs" checkbox.
