Daz3D - Posing a character + build an Armor in Z-Brush

Hello
I'm looking for help regarding rigging.
Basically what I'd like to achieve is to create an armor in Zbrush for a nude character-posed in Daz3D. I followed a Tutorial on youtube for clothing, this is great because they can have distortion. But for raw armor ? I want to create all items separately and stick them onto the body. they need to look "real" so no distortion on them if I pose them. Does anyone got any tutorial or ressources regarding this ?
(Attachement) This is an example of what I'm looking to create :
Thanks

Well, you could model each piece as a sepaarte OBJ file then import it and parent it - props won't bend, and won't need any rigging, but you'd still need some kind of body suit for the mail. If this is a weight-mapped figure it would be possible to make each piece of solid armour move as a unit, but you'd probably need either custom morphs in the armour to cope with the bulges of bent bones or morphs or (for a Genesis figure) GeoGrats to hide parts of the figure (depending on whether you thought the armour would be moved by or would constrain the flesh).
Hey Richard,
Thanks for the answers.
Yes I'd like to model seperate OBJ file (shoulders, arms, etc)
Where can I look to "parent" obj inside Daz ? I never did this
Thanks !

Either drag and drop in the Scene pane or right-click on the item and select Change parent (or select the item and use the same command in the Scene pane option menu) - the new parent should be the bone the item is meant to move with.
Also keep in mind that you want to use a lower polycount that what a piece like the one you're showing would have. That level would be mainly for making normals/bump/displacement and textures to apply to a lower poly model in Studio. (Daz is the company name).
