Genesis 3 children, how to make them?

I have seen this slider before in the genesis characters for basic child, and theres a figure called basic child. Howoever since I had to buy a new laptop, I freshly installed stdio 4.8 and started makign some figures. Everything I am working with now is genesis 3 so I can keep everything compatible between the figures. Now I am noticing that there is no slider the change the age to create a child. Anyone know if there is one, or a morph pack that does this? I got the body, head morphs for genesis 3 already, as well as the fit shape one. and I didnt find this option in those anywere either.

Nine months later...Zev0 releases the Growing Up G3 packages (I sure hope it doesn't take 9 months).

Basically, without those packs, it's a combination of scaling morphs, existing morphs and more often than not, custom sculpting.

  • I was afraid of that, hoping I wasn't going to have to use hieght, then change alot of features to make them look younger. Good thing I wasnt looking to make 5 year olds then :)

Here's the thread discussing Growing up for G3...

From the looks of it, it will be sooner rather than later for this.   (My guess is some time after the first of the year....but not months away.)

  • Thanks for the link, that really helps alot. I guess I can wait for a bit.

Nose and ears grow your entire life, so simple approach:

Use youth slider if there is one (I think the G3 big morph packs should have something), increase head scale a little. Nose, ears, brows, and jaws tend to be smaller, perhaps increase the size of eyes slightly.

  • Thanks for the tip, I got most packs already, none actually have a youth slider, but I am currently adjusting to scale younger by using the hight scalle at 100% wich brings her down to aproximatly 10-12 yrs hieght, or close to that I figure. then I did scale the head down smaller and shorten the neck. Tricky part now is defining the body, obviously take down the breasts considerably to almost nothing. But the model still has quite a bit of adult defining tone in all the muscles. So I am currently orking on tweaking down some of the bones, mainly in th hip and torso region, to give a more non defining look. Sems to be working well right now, and not much work so far. I have the feeling the face is where it will take the longest, to actually make her face look young, with no adult features.

If I can get this down reasonable quick, for the second figure, maybe I'll write up a short tutorial on it for people to follow.

  • OK, well I did figure out that the genesis 3 head morphs pack does actually have a young slider in the face controls. But I didn't notice that until I had already started tweaking the appearance to make her younger looking. I made the eyes slightly larger, moved them down a hair, brought the upper eyelids up a bit, and defined the jaw to give a younger look. Also made the nose slope more to fit more with a teen. I did not accomplish a child though, but I think she could pass for a young teen, if not a tween. What do you guys think?

  • and now with the face young slider at 100%

  • Any ideas on what I could change a bit, and comments, suggestions, and critiques are very much appreciated here. Also I have only been using daz for a week now too, so still quite a noob here.

    Nice...

    I'd say about 12 or so...maybe a bit younger.

That second image could look very young (as young as 5, maybe), depending on the body. Maybe smaller ears, and the eyebrows could be a little smaller... mmm.
