Is Daz Studio 4.0 compatible with all the latest content? Genesis Models, props, clothing, materials, lights ect?

    Well that is a hard question as it all depends on the product and to be honest there isn't an easy way to know if a product was made in 4.0 or 4.8. Since 4.0 is old I would have to guess that a lot of the newer items won't be. You could look in the readme associated with the product on the readme page http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/start

    Anything which is in .duf format won't work at all since that format was introduced in 4.5. So that means at least any Genesis 2 or 3 content won't work.

    DS4.0 can't read the DSON format that all 4.5+ content is coded in, you wont even be able to use the current version of Genesis in it.
