All work is done in Daz 4.8.0.59 64-bit. Rendering done in 3Delight (apparently, I don't have a strong enough PC for iRay yet). No postwork.

A series of renders, as I try to make sure I have indoor and outdoor lighting figured out, among other things.

Outdoors scene, uberenvironment2, two distant lights

I am not sartisfied with the composition of the right-most cyborg - the thin frame-body tell my eye she's embedded in the railing when she's not.

Hi ebonartgallery, a couple of nice renders there. I see what you mean with regards to the cyborg, a little repositioning or some tweaking on the pose would solve that though. The other image I could imagine as the cover of a music album by some bad boy band!

Besides repositioning KA1 suggested, at the moment you have a very plain overall lighting in this image. That appears unnatural for an outdoor scene. Stronger shadows would help to give the scenery more depth. Without knowing your settings, I would suggest to lower the UE2 intensity and raise the intensity of one of the Distant Lights. Make sure the Cast Shadow Option is enabled.

Were you going for a night scene here?  One thing, if you have the ability to work with camera raw in your image editor, you can pull in information.  If you use non-raw images (jpgs in particular), you can only do so much, but still, here is an example:

It is suppossed to be at night, yes. I used 'cool' colors for the distant lights, and the UE. White for the low very low-intensity spotlights that I was using to try and bring out some details without washing out the 'night' effect.

The distant lights are set to cast shadows, but blurry ones and I suppose they would also be blending into the general UE light then, since their souces are also a very 'cool' colors (though different from the UE and each other). Would that be muting out all the shadows, then?

Sorry, I have no idea what you mean by 'camera-raw'; you mean an image editor can pull in the, what, the .DUF file that DAZ uses, and make changes? I have Paint.Net right now. I downloaded GIMP but I have not yet installed it. Can it do that?

Here, I 'warmed up' the cooler UE light and upped it's intensity. Also took time to re-do middle-dude's wardrobe a bit and fix an issue with his right fingers. This pic might be right at the limit that my PC will process, at least at this size and resolution. Having almost anything else other than DAZ running makes the guys on either side 'white out' which can be indicative of a memory problem (if I read things correctly).
