For the life of me i cannot find/ remember how to render my scenes background as transparent. It just keeps the black background i currently have all the way to a png. Can someone enlighten me?

Make sure you have Background set to None in the Environment tab and save as PNG. You also may see an opaque-looking backgroun in an image preview, if the preview application doesn't support the PNG alpha channel. When you open the PNG file in Photoshop, for example, the transparent background should look transparent.
Thank you, I knew it was somewhere in there. I haven't used Daz for a while. Getting back into it. I docked the enviroment tab this time. :)
