How to copy and paste translation/rotation for animation

Daz 4.22

This is a n00b animation question. I'm trying to make a camera animation. I'm doing this by creating a bunch of cameras each in positions i want to use in my animation. Then i create my animated camera and set up the timeline to a number of frames.

What I'd like to to is move my animation cursor then copy-paste from a particular camera the translation & rotation into the animated camera timeline at that point.

What happens is that the parameter copy-paste overwrites the animated camera WHOLE TIMELINE not just at the cursor position. So typically, this means it clears ALL the keys and sets the position of my animated camera at frame 0 to that of copied-camera (not where i am parked). This is not what i want.

Any ideas. thanks. I figure this must be simple.

Go to the camera you want the coordinates from, then go to file/save as/pose preset and save the current frame. Go to the frame you want to apply that to and highlight the animated camera. File/merge/whatever pose preset filename is and it will apply that frame for you. I just double checked and you can save pose presets for cameras this way.

Hey thanks, that worked. But i'm surprised there's no easier way than having to save out a pose.

I'm glad it worked! Yeah, I'm surprised too.
