DS 4.22.xx beta - "recent files" in file menu missing ?

I installed DS 4.22.x.x. beta after PC repair and update to Win 11 - now it seems my file menu entries are somehow borked.

The "recent files / scenes" entry in the file menu is missing.

Anybody knows how to fix this?

It's been moved, you have to use File > New and select the Recent tab on that window instead.

Ok, but in the recent tab there is no entry of my last used scene - only "Scene Builder" and "New Scene".

And what is all this store stuff? Seem so I missed some changes in DS since version 4.21.x.x. Is it possible to disable this massive advertising?

You cannot disable the ads but you can bypass it by creating a new way of loading an empty scene. There have been a few ways posted and there is also this script from crosswind.

I believe you can restore the recent items to the menu but I don't know the steps - I think they were posted somehere. I still have mine there because my menu config has been inherited across updates.

The script Richard linked will put the old friendly "Open Recent" command back in your File menu.
