When i do a obj import in Studio 4.8 it all come in as a solid mesh with no ablitiy to select individual components of the obj import. For instance if i do a car import there is no possibility to open the doors or do a turn of a wheel and so on. Though there are ways to select with the the surface selector but that is, as i understand it only for texturing. So my question is, if anyone know if there is some way to do a import where components of the obj object are selectable thus ready to be manipulated in different cool manners.
Thanks in advance Anders

A .obj is simply the mesh data, it doesn't include rigging or any information about moving parts. So it's not possible with .obj import.
To have moving parts you'll need to rig your object in DS after importing the .obj
Many thanks for answer, did a search on rigging in studio 4.8 and found some useful tutorials on how to !
