Lost function on DAZ 4.8

Hi:
On the latest version of DAZ, I have lost the ability to change background color (the category has disappeared from the dropdown menu) and have lost access to the Posing screen on the system. The Posing screen comes up blank and gray and will not respond to any input from the mouse or keyboard. What should I do to correct these issues? Thanks!

I don't know what version you used before, but changing the background has been moved to the "Environment" tab in DS 4.7.
The Environment pane is for the render background - if you want to change the viewport colour while working, without rendering, use Window>Style>Customise Colors (the viewport backgroudn colour is at the end of the list).
As for the missing viewport, which I suspect is what you mean, it's now a pane so go to Window>Panes(Tabs)>Viewport then drag it to dock it at the top of the grey area - a coloured highlight will appear when you are in the right place (if it won't dock, check that Window>Workspace>Lock Docking/Undocking is not ticked).
