Love the lazy day!  And you make me actually want to try some more toony style renders.  but I don't dare add more to my library until I use some of what I have!

laugh That's what I keep telling myself. But I mostly don't listen. indecision

I need a plan like every full moon, if it falls on a Tuesday, I promise I'll make a scene with something I've never used before. If I've installed it. If I haven't installed it yet then I need another plan.

Really busy with other stuff lately so haven't done much beyond hitting the store every day. Sigh. Here's one with Death Cap for G2F by AntFarm. I'm planning to redo it if I can find the scene file which is eluding me at the moment.....Gonzo is enraptured by the creaky, squeaky, but haunting song of the mushroom cap lady and doesn't understand why nobody else is paying attention....until the next day when he feels something growing out of his head.

Those are adorable, Spit!  Nice to see you posting again.  Your images always make me smile.  :)

Thanks, KM! It's always great to 'see' your voice.

So cute!  LOVE the Kobold the look on his face is priceless.  I missed the mushroom lady before but I think its beautiful and the little story made me laugh.  I'm not a big fan of rendering toons myself but I do enjoy what other people do with them lol.

Thanks. Someday you might. Who knows? Although I've tried most types of figures and venues and genres at one time or another, there were a few I purposely put aside and purchased nothing that had anything to do with them. Then one day I'm inspired by something and off I go. Goth was something I was positive I'd never get into but along came some stuff for Aiko 3 at RDNA and I couldn't stop purchasing stuff along those lines. I'm pretty much over that now. I'm still holding out, though, on any kind of underwater scene. laugh

Theres'a part of me that thinks the goose image is so sweet, then there's the farm girl part of me that thinks geese are nasty and it's going for that girls fingers. :D Either way it's a really well done render.

So much fun! It forced me to pick up the Kobold.

Always love your images, the super-packed ones have so much to look at, the simpler ones have so much warmth, and they all have mega amounts of fun.

Thanks so much for continuing to share your work, it really is wonderful.

Haha funny you should say that lol.  I just picked up Melody 1 and 2 as well as the toon Unicorn.... I don't have anything I want to render with them...yet lol

    @KnittingMommy Thank you so much!

@deathbycannon LOL I was actually thinking about the 'pure pet' goose in 'Friendly Persuasion', a Gary Cooper civil war era movie. Goose would nip at the little boy's butt as he walked by, but treated the mother more friendly-like.

@wsterdan So glad you picked up Kobold. He's great fun. But I popped the diffuse textures in PS, removed the color profile, ran auto-levels, and resaved. This made the colors pop more in 3delight. Don't know about iRay.

And thanks so much for the kind words. You've always inspired me with the care you take in creating your characters and the obvious joy with which you do it.

@Ice Dragon Art LOL You did it! Oh, you'll find what you want to do if even through loading 'em up and just playing around for a while.

Ya I figured I was doomed when I couldn't resist the Unicorn anymore lol.  Can't just render a toon unicorn, you gotta have other stuff.

Although I will say your renders are partially to blame because they are just so darn cute!  and KM has some really cute ones as well as a couple other I can't think of off the top of my head.

Spit, it's so nice to see you posting artwork here again.

Nice to see YOU, again, Kettu.

@Ice Dragon  Heh, you're on your way. And, definitely, KM has some lovelly stuff and I'm always amazed she does it without a single cuda core. :)

Right?  I would go completly insane waiting on renders for that long...

LOL!  Who says I haven't already gone insane?  ;)  Thank you for those kind words, Spit.  :)    I do try.  One of these days, I'll get some of those cudo cores.  I don't know what I'd do if I were able to get more than one render done in a single day, though, let alone two or three!  I can't even imagine.  :)

I'm with KM, but then I've always had to wait hours and even days for some renders to complete.  Nothing worse than being 2 days in and suddenly CRASH!

Oh, ouch!  I've been there.  Try three days and then suddenly have a power outage!  Yikes!  :)

Well, 'back in the day'--like the '80s-'90s--I was using C64 and every Amiga ever made (except one). We did 3D rendering on those Amigas. I didn't have the patience for anything much beyond 'reflective sphere on checkerboard ground', but I had friends who would render an image for a week or two or more. The Amiga multitasked beautifully (only pc at the time that did at all) so they'd go online and do other stuff without hiccups. I was more of a Vista Pro person and though it took time to draw all those trees, it was nothing like the slow pace of raytracing.

I have no more patience today than back then laugh

I was playing with Filter Forge (I think I have version 4) and some filters I love but they don't work on every image (natch). Here I selected 'artification' I think it's called and voila. ....

Nice, Spit.  I broke down and got Kobold on the last day of the sale.  I did a little animation test with him yesterday, but I haven't actually rendered any stills with him yet.  But, I remembered seeing your picture and decided I wanted him after all.

I love FF, but yeah, you have to play around with some filters on some images to get them to look good.  I think the longest I've waited for a render was 10 days, but it was super large as I was having it printed and I might have made it bigger than I needed as math is not my thing.  I can't even imagine waiting two weeks or more for a render.  :)
