The human character is pretty lackluster, but I quite like the succubus add-on. No use for the majority of clothing, though. I can't quite tell from the promos if PTF's character contains any additional sculpting or if it's just a material add-on.
From the look of it, I would say all the sculpting is provided by the Succubus Add-On. The files list of the Icy skin contain mainly pictures files:

Will Tara 9 really be needed to use the Succubus Add-On, or can I use it with any other character? I have no need for another character again.
I'd like to know this as well.
I was wondering the same thing. Tara 9 is quite nice, but without this add-on she just seems a bit dull and slightly boring. Besides, I've bought so many good things in this genre in the last few sales that I probably don't need the bundles.
There is undoubtedly a lot on offer in the bundles, but as always in recent times, they are very expensive. Since the offer only applies to the Pro Bundle, and you don't get any discount at all for the Starter Bundle apart from the introductory price, that's it for me. Sorry.
Feels like part of that shift in marketing changes. With Torment, for example, you got the whole thing in one character. Splitting it up just makes it look like shrinkflation.
For me she looks pretty much the same as the Van Helsing young version. I often don't see much difference between the new characters at all. The add-ons are what makes them look great.
+1! With the exception of some really characterful base figures, such as Kala 9, Maryam 9, or Angela 9. The men of the 9 generation are more interesting. But they are often relatively old.
Just another boring white chick. There's actually nothing there I want or need. I suppose if I didn't have plenty of similar content from preceding generations, I'd be more interested. But Daz really wants us to look! Took up two of their smaller promo slots to shove in an extra "Look at me!" banner. No weekly/bi-weekly/whenever-they-get-around-to-it free stuff today.
This! First thing I noticed was that this gal's gonna be flying from her kidneys. No bone there whatsoever.
I really like the skin texture of the human Tara 9, although I have no idea if that is just a re-hash of an existing base character.
Unlike most other base characters released recently, there are no alternative shapes, although the pose set mentions a halfling shape, so maybe the shapes will come later.
It feels better than the multiple banners they used with Xola 9: Tara 9 is using less 'screen space' than Xola 9 while still showing her two forms and two out of her three alternate skins.
The human red skin and the human skin included with the Succubus Add-On should work on men too, but the Succubus form seems to be only for women (no idea if horns, wings and tail will work on men too), which is not that surprising: succubus are supposed to be feminine looking demons.
I wasn't aware that demons had the same human physiology. TMYK....
The wings are attached at the same place as on Tara 2 by Kayleyss, maybe it's just a nod to Tara 2 or maybe Tara 9 was created by Kayleyss too.
I don't know why it's called Halflings Hierarchical Poses when it's pose for a succubus but it's just the name of a product: Halflings Hierarchical Poses for Tara 9, Wings, and Beleth Hair
Is anyone else getting hardcore Lilith from Diablo 4 vibes? Cause....
While I like the contents of the package, Tara doesn't really give me the succubus vibe like the old Lilith 6 and Lilith 7, nor the Tara add-ons we had for those. When I want to render a succubus, I'd probably reach back to one of those, not this one..
The Succubus add-on is nice to add some spikes and wings and stuff, but doesn't really fix the figure, which remains too mundanely human. I'll put it rather straight forward, I expect a succubus figure to be extremely perfect in her feminine curves, with a small hint of masculiniity (especially in her arms and legs), since she is supposedly a physically strong female as well. No sagging, no dimples. Closer to an eighties model than an anorexic model from this century, like, blend the bodies of Kelly LeBrock and Jane Fonda, add Linda Evangelista's head (perfect eyes and jawline for this purpose) and you've got the perfect succubus shape.
Still considering a purchase, I like the seperate contents of the package, even if I just can't imagine the figure as a succubus, but it's rather pricey.
A bit too pricey for me. With a Genesis 9 DO bundle the lowest I can get the Pro Bundle for is $78.88 before tokens or $43.38 with 8 tokens. Has anybody been able to get a better price?
I kind of like the bundle. Even though most of the clothing is not something I would use alone, there are some nice elements that I could kitbash into other outfits.
But, unfortunately, the price is way too steep for me at the moment. I guess I'll wait and see if there's anything in the next few days that would add some stacking discounts and reconsider. For now, though, into the wishlist it goes.
Anything for G9 can work with both genders. But female skins' nipples do not line up with the male shape's pecs and look bad on them, as is. Besides, incubi are supposed to be males, and I wanted to know if I could make one without having to make modifications to the prpduct with an external app. ;)

See the Pro Bundle at $34.71 in my cart with 8 tokens, a Gen9 bundle (in my case the masculine hair bundle which comes for $4,05) and the CUPID-coupon for owning the Marley- and Herlinda-Bundles.
I know, but I did check before writting my answer and if you look at the files list, like most Daz Originals skins for Genesis 9 (exception are likely the teen / young adult skins who usually have no nipples textures), they are textures for masculine nipples in both the Succubus Add-On and the red skin add-on (but none in the icy skin addon which is more in line with most PAs works). So the skins will works (no idea about the rest of the content of the Succubus Add-on and the absence of an masculine AE textures as part of the Succubus addon mean fully naked render may be out of questions with that product).
You can check if you have an adult Genesis 9 Core figure: they are setting for the opposite gender included.

And Renderhub, plus probably a few others, have multiple copies of that character. When I saw this, I thought it was a direct port of one of those characters. Given the "editorial license" concern, I'm very surprised this made it through without it since it's pretty much a dead ringer. There are a couple of slight differences - wings here are attached lower on the body, tail looks different, face horns/holes are new, but the main head horns (even the curved in bottom horns by the ears) and general appearance is pretty much identical on quick scan.
Concerned about how close this is to the Diablo 4 character honestly.
My primary usage is with interactive licenses for game development and don't like the precedent being set for "almost but not quite" copyright infringement. It makes me nervous about which products I'm not aware of being too close to an existing IP design.
Also a bit unhappy that a Daz original comes with fem-only anatomical mats, part of the draw to moving to Genesis 9 was the unification of the model and materials so that bodies could have one set of consistent textures shared. Without full texture sets for the "exotic" skins it's just the caucasian human skin that has all the parts but I already have at least 5 of those from previous gen 9 figures.
This is surely far from the first daz haracter with similar horn designs, most long predating Diablo IV - it seems to me that the game design is just using a standard trope for its design, rather than that the Daz Tara 9 is following Diablo IV.
Me too. I like the Succubus and Ice Demon, but the base character looks just like young Van Helsing, as it was pointed out. And I have no use for the rest of the bundle.
