I realize this question has probably been asked many times but how are some of you getting Lip Syncing in DAZ 64 bit?

LOL mostly by using the 32bit to save as pose files

I do use PoseRecorder for Genesis 8 sometimes

    Mimic Live not so much

Thanks Wendy, I am using Bforartists now, a better version of Blender. Unfortunatly, it has nothing like Carrara's Mimc. I can bring Daz models into Bforartists (morphs and all) but still trying to figure out how to do mimic like lip syncing. B4 has a plug in Called Human Generator. I have been using a MoCap app on my iphone for lip syncing and that has worked very well.

This is a screen shot of the Bforartists UI and I model I created in it. Thanks to all my years in Carrara, becoming funtional in B4 was doable.

This is a marketing render I created for a non profit in Cleveland. Bforartists has all the tools of Blender, plus more, but a much easier UI.  I must admit though, with all the modern day tools it has, Carrara still has a few tools it does not. Carrara tends to do some of the same things, just easier. Like the asset browser in Carrara is much easier to use. The constaints in Carrara are more intuative. Key frame interpalation is more straight forward.

The advantage to B4 is the constant upgrades and updates. The devs are more approachable. I can send them a message and they will get back to me immdediately. I also have access to a huge amount of tallent who can help me with projects.

All that said, I still miss Carrara.

BTW Carrara mimic exports as BVH with Fenric's plugin using bones for Genesis 3, 8, 8.1 and 9

(as long as you have the fixed characters for the first 3)

it works in DAZ studio, in fact Carrara BVH export is the only BVH I can get to work on those latter figures

That is a great idea. I have mimic and it works great.

Thanks Wendy. I've been out of the community so long I didn't know Fenric was down. Very sorry to here that. I don't think Daz has any idea how many lost opportunities they lost turning thier back on Carrara.
