Where do I install a poser prop file in Daz?

I am looking for a free chef hat to use in a render.  I found this one but it's a poser prop.  I have installed it into Daz Studio 4.8 props but it doesn't show up.  Although there is poser format section in DS I can't find it under my DS folder, only my library for DS.  Where do I install poser format files?

Attachement show where I have installed it but it seems wrong.  I have not installed Poser files before into DS and as I have quite some Poser only models, it will be nice to know how to upload it to DS.  The 3 files are together including readme.

Poser files require a specific hierarchy of folders, starting with Runtime. Your prop is just sitting out there in the open.

begin by placing it under the following cascade of folders, inside your Props folder:

      Runtime
         Libraries
            Props

This assumes that the pp2 file contains the gempoetry for the prop. At 52K, it probably does.

You now need to add this in D|S as Poser content. Edit->Preferences, Content Library. Click on Content Directory Manager. Select Poser Formats, click Add, and navigate to the Props/Runtime folder. Click Select Folder.

Poser content is segregated from D|S formats in the Content Library tab. Find your newly added Props folder there.

You should never install any user content for DAZ Studio into Program files anyway, DS or Poser content.

Your DAZ Studio content is most likely in C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library if you used DIM to install it, but any folder taht you have setup as a content library folder should contain a folder called 'Runtime' which is where all the Poser content is installed to.    Your items should be installed to Runtime > Libraries > Props, and you will find them inside DS by going to Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Props

Poser users a differnt folder structure than DS, called a Runtime.  A Runtime folder has three sub-folders:

    Geometries
    Libraries
    Textures

The Libraries sub-folder has nine other sub-folders:

    Camera
    Character
    Face
    Hair
    Hand
    Light
    Materials
    Pose
    Props

There should be a Runtime sub-folder in your DS Content folder.  Your chef hat needs to be put in the Runtime/Libraries/Props sub-folder.  Then, make sure DS is mapped to the Runtime folder via the Poser Formats section of the Content Library manager.  Finally, open the Content Library pane in DS, select Poser Formats, drill down to the Libraries/Props, and you'll find your hat there.

Thank you for both your help which is much appreciated.

Jimmy, I have initially installed it to the 'my documents' DS folder but as it didn't show up, then I have installed it also to the program files folder to see what will happen.  But it seems now that I have installed it anyway wrongly in the 'my documents' DS folder too as I have directly put it into props sub-folder under my libraries and not 'runtime' as suggested.  I will try that now.  Thanks again.
