The only compatibility requirement listed for this asset is DS 4.22, but all of the promo images used G8.  Does anyone know if it works with G9?

  • I do not have it but I think it should work fine on most anything since it works with skin, clothes, furniture, etc.

The dirt and damage are applied to the clothing, which can have all sorts of different UV maps. You can basically apply this stuff to any surface. Getting it in the right place is more of a challenge. The shaders place a transparency map for the Diffuse Overlay Weight, regardless of the shape of the garment. This map is projected onto the garment as a square that overlays the texture map. You can use the included utility shaders to adjust the position and tiling of the grunge without affecting the original garment's material settings. It helps to use the Aux Viewport to see the UV map of the target, and see how it lines up with the grunge's transparency map to make your adjustments.

the product is UV agnostic so yes, you can use it on G9. You can choose geoshell method or diffuse overlay method; if you go with the latter the presets are made for UBER skin and will not apply to PBR Skin, you'll have to apply the maps manually or just go with the geoshell method.
