Content appears as grey blocks (People, animals etc.)

Hallo all,

Im new to 3d software and recently installed ds4.8 pro. All starter essentials downloaded and installed to c:domuments\my daz 3d library. All people and objects appear in content library but when loading it to a scene they appear as grey blocks. I have checked install paths over and over but problem still there. Also get message when double clicking on items 'some assets needed to load the file were missing' Content may not work as expected. Please help me cause I have tried so many advice.

I am running Windows 7 64bit

Did you also install the various Genesis Starter Essemntials packs.  THere are 3,  one for Genesis, one for Genesis 2 and one for Genesis 3

Yes they are listed as: 1) Genesis Starter Essential 2) Genesis 2 Female Starter Essentials 3) Genesis 2 Male Starter Essentials

There also is SubSurfaceShaderBase, Genesis2 DMC, SceneBuilderforDazStudio and defaultlightsandshaders. All of it was extracted and installed to c:domuments\my daz 3d library

  • Is the People folder that contains the Genesis folder in the content library folder (My DAZ 3D Library or whatever) or are there other folders showing before that?

    My Daz 3D Library/Content/People/...

I downloaded all manually. Think that is the problem?

  • And My DAZ 3D Library is immediately under DAZ Studio Formats? That should be right, if you moved everything from the zip at oen go (if not, make sure that the \Data folder from the zips are also in the My DAZ 3D Library, they should not be visible in the Content Library pane).

I've encountered the "blocky" display of figures in the past. I know there's a physical reason for it and various specific keywords that are associated with how things are displayed, but the terms escape me.
