DAZ to Poser 2014

How do I get DAZ content into Poser 2014? All the female/male essentials is zipped files. Dont know what directory path to use to install those for Poser.

  • It's probably simplest to isntall with the Isntall manager, then point Poser to the install folder as an external library. You will need files thata re in Poser format or, using the DSON Importer, that include Poser Companion Files or that note that they don't have user-facing files but work with the importer.

  • for ones without companion files you can still often use Dimension 3D's DSON loader on the duf file too

  • I have had good luck using the Daz Installer to get the items into both directories. Just set up DI to point to your Poser installation, then (and this is important) run a test with just ONE ITEM. Once DI has installed the item, open Poser 2014 and check to make sure it's there. If not, double check your DI settings and make sure you find the correct Runtime directory (it's usually in the Smith Micro/Poser directory -- I'm not at home, otherwise I would look it up for you).

Trust me on this -- running a one-item test will save you a lot of heartbreak later.
