I noticed Ron's birds brushes today in the sale and was wondering if I could transfer them to gimp. it says Photoshop CS and Up Only, I honestly have no clue if that is already and old PS version, that the transfer should work
Anyway here is the link

It's highly likely to work (I've got lots of his sets, just not that one).
The only ones that don't work really are the ones that need to use layer styles and some of the really new ones. Most of his older brush sets work fine.
There's always the money back guarantee if they don't, but I've never had a problem with Ron's brushes in GIMP.
@Linwelly:
Just created this quickly using only GIMP (click to enlarge), so yes it does work. What doesn't work are .csh shapes or styles:
Both Krita and GIMP can use Photoshop brushes, also if they changed the format, both the free programs will most likely update to use those, just takes a little time. Also, both Krita and GIMP can use layered brushes.
Thanks everybody, that's great to know!
Paint.net has pluggins for PS brushes, too.
For something you say you 'just created quickly' that is wonderful and reminds me of artwork I saw in Asia on scrolls and on fabric I could buy. Totally lovely @mding.

Many thanks, that is so kind of you!
Ron's Brushes allow for very quick designs - in this case: A background from the other store (Antje), a tree brush in the foreground with suiting color, a tree brush, a bit darker, a layer behind, then the slightly blurred bird's brush. On top of all the canvas texture. Can be done in literally less than a minute, lol. But that is only possible because of the high quality of the brushes and background i used. So i really recommend such tools to everybody taking the time to read
It's true though, I marveled at the image as well thinking this is skill to use something and make it look lovely, I really like the graphic quality of it
Thank you @Linwelly!
