Hi there,
Are there holographic clothes/shaders in the shop or are they just faked from one point of look? (fake: don't change colors if you change the angle of the lighting.) I know realistic holographic clothes should be a resource-heavy thing and hard to model...
What I did find already:

https://www.daz3d.com/ajc-cropped-style-outfit-textures-expansion-and-morphs (this is the style, but based on the gallery pictures I would say it just fakes it.)

Dont know if daz is playing silly sods again .
but none of those link work for me
And I came in here expecting the "holographic clothes" to be something that looked like the wearer had stepped out of Tron's universe and that the clothes were constructed from forcefields and projected energy fields.
That said, the outfits looked like something I could use in a general sci-fi future setting, just because of the sweeps and curves on the first one, and the vynil-shiny on the second one, so I added them all to ny get list.
Basically you are looking for the shimmering texture effect?
You might want to try these shaders on the clothing models.

I think my best chances are with:

+ MEC4D PBS Shaders
I probably could mix something out of them that could work but I was hoping for an already-done solution. I'll put some top-coat layer with shine and gloss on a two-tone/iridescent/good base material. (Can't start now DAZ so I might be messing up the channels' names.) And I will see how it will work out when I have a bit more time to play with Daz.
Looks nice but 90% sure it's just faking to the effect with a colorful diffuse color map. Probably, what I'm looking for should be done in PBR spect/glossiness or by going into the shader mixer and setting up some things XP, but 95% of the shaders are PBR Metalicity/Roughness as far as I know.
I would think an effect like what you're after would involve fresnel, which Iray may or may not accomodate.
It does, but you may have to dig into the shader mixer to get it. I know there are some shaders that use fresnel for iridescence on the market, but the only ones I can remember offhand are DimensionTheory's Anodized shaders, and they come to mind because of a recent thread about how they don't work in versions of DS after, I think, 4.21.
I usually check things out first at
https://www.daz3d.com/the-complete-guide-to-creating-iray-shaders
It's a pretty good guide with a pdf.
If I remember right she mentioned something about the angle of the light and what color it reflects, but it was just a mentioning.
Something like this? Not sure how well it works on clothes as I don't own it.
