Thanks Daz, much appreciated! What did everyone grab with their pot of gold spoils? I grabbed

Denise HD for Genesis 9 Feminine - Really nice new character from Mousso to trigger the deal

Van Helsing 9 HD Pro Bundle - My first Gen9 pro bundle

dForce X-Fighter Outfit and Weapons for Genesis 8 Female(s) - Guilty pleasure outfit angel

Definitely makes me miss the days of getting freebies when buying new content.

I got the Black Widow bundle for G8 that's been in my wishlist forever and the Kala 9 bundle and a couple of characters and weapons that were a few cents. I went over the $50 so the Black Widow bundle was $5.96 for 5 items and the Kala bundle was $3.69 for 10 items (although I already own two of them) plus two DO G9 characters and weapons from the Related Madness items that were pennies. Also got a few PA items that were 82%-87% off. If you count the individual products in the bundles, I got 29 iproducts for $40 (all G9/G8) which comes out to an average of $1.37 per product.  Great sale! I wish this sale would end already though, it's too tempting to keep spending when the prices are so good!

I grabbed the Grugmar bundle, the Kei mini bundle, a couple outfits for them both, the Forest Den (for Grugmar), and the Rat Race add-on for Neo Station (one of my all time favorite sets)..I bought the NCS Mess Hall which was already on my wish list (if there is a sci-fi mess hall, I am buying it).

I got the "Sublime and grime" makeup system that I'd been on the fence about, and it gave me the ability to pick up some environments and outfits that had been on my wishlist for a while that I have in mind for specific uses, plus the spy kit so I'd finally have some of those everyday props that don't seem to be anywhere else.

I'm most excited about one thing I took a chance on - the backyard BBQ outfit for G8M. I'd been fighting with the chef's apron off a different G8 set for.ev.er to try to get it to work on my G9 girl, and never could get it to behave, but I was heistant to spend money on something else that might just leave me with two aprons that don't work. I figured with this, though, no real money lost... and within five minutes of minor-ish adjustments had it looking good and actually posing with the character! I'M SO JAZZED! My girl can have her barista apron now. :)

Just picked up that one as well, glad to know it works great!

A dozen random Wishlish items for about eight bucks, including an Almost New release? We must be in the second half of March now, lol!

  • Wow is right. I started the day with only one DO item in my wishlist, so the option for spectacular acquisitions wasn't there, but this provided a great opportunity to reconsider a lot of things I'd put in a cart once or twice but never ended up getting. My approach to this sale was to comb through everything that was a DO among today's "Mad Artists Store" listings (to get that extra sale pricing) and throw into the cart pretty much everything that I ever considered getting that didn't quite make the final cut. I'm still doing some fine-tuning and final review, but it's looking like it will be 27 new items.

I don't know how you'll be using the apron, but if it saves you some trial and error, the winning combo for me was loading it onto my girl, slapping it with Fit Control feminine for G9,  and then telling it to fit itself to the shirt she was wearing. That pretty immediately solved the poke-through in the front, with the exception of one very small spot on the right waist that a minor "expand waist" fixed. The straps needed a bit of fussing to make them not go through her neck, but it wasn't too bad. (And of course it still suctions to her underbreast, but I've sort of made my peace with that as inevitable at this point).

I must add my wow and thanks to DAZ.  The pot of gold harked my mind back to the days of freebies and vouchers. DAZ's spirit of holiday generosity lives.  The biplanes allowed me to go a little sci-fi crazy.  Maybe a WWI ace can come flying out of a temporal misalignment into 2024.

    Hallelujah!

That was yesterday, $50 worth of free DO items, with the prices counted by the discounted ones.
I got 25 items for free with it.

8 tokens and their 45 % discount on DO helped I think.

I got 16, using 3 tokens. The freebies were Genesis 8/9 or Horse 3, plus some environments, so all pretty new stuff. $5 for just under $400 worth of stuff seems like a decent deal.

I ended up with 27 items for the $50. It was done with 8 tokens (which were all expiring last night at midnight anyway) on top of mostly G8-era selections from the list of "Mad Artist Stores" so they were already highly discounted.

  • I picked up 69 items for $80, including https://www.daz3d.com/road-trip-hippy-van. I've been meaning to grab that forever and was super happy to be able to get it yesterday. It wasn't part of the DO sale, but it was in the artist items and I felt it would be good to pay it back to several artists too when the rest of my cart was literally pennies.

Cool! With no tokens, I think I did OK. I don't usually spend enough to get tokens, and this was no different.

I got 16 free items without using any tokens.

Yes, that does look like fun and really beautifully-modeled! My bigger items were https://www.daz3d.com/containment-zone and https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-melantha-outfit-for-genesis-8-and-81-females-bundle I was thinking of just the wings, but it was such a good deal, it made sense to get the whole pack.

Excellent! As with anything, it depends what you pick. I had a cart with 16 items, but I wasn't thrilled with a few of my picks. So, it is what we want it to be enlightened

Parenting it to the shirt instead of the figure worked great. I wish I knew enough about weight-mapping and dForce to allow the apron to drape without mangling the lower pockets.

Oh well, still happy with it! Thank you for the advice!

The timing was rather crappy considering it being a holiday that many spend with family and friends and that Daz has customers across many time zones (and thus the store turns over at different times of the day in different places). Makes it easy to miss these kinds of 1-day things. Running it all weekend would have allowed more people to notice and use it. Applying FOMO to gifts limits the goodwill they generate - and potentially generates the opposite if customers miss out by a few hours and feel annoyed with Daz.

Glad I could be of service! After how patient and helpful everyone has been with my learning curve, it's nice to be able to pay it forward a bit. :)

Great render! Now I want grill food!
