Installing Zipped Content from Renderosity
Hello and thanks in advance for any tips on this. If there's a tutorial out there, please point the way...
Purchased a prop from Rederosity to use in a Daz scene. Downloaded Zip files (.obj and Poser). "Read Me" for this prop says it is compatible with Daz. Have searched high and low for a way to install this prop that doesn’t include being a 9th Degree Master of all things "content path." If I have to go there I might but... None of the vids or tutorials I could find explained how to install either of the two extracted zip files that I have to work with. Which one? .obj or Poser?
Open the .obj version and I get: Documentation and OBJ. The OBJ folder has a long list of .obj objects in it
Open the Poser version and I get: Documentation and Runtime. The Runtime folder opens up to: Geometries, Libraries and Textures
That's where everything I can find related to this drops off...
Many thanks ya'll (I'm from the South). I totally dig this tree and can't wait to Daz it up.

You can either place the OBJ files wherever you like and then use File>Import to load them, or you can merge the Runtime from the Poser zip with the existing Runtime in My DAZ 3D Library and then load the items from the Content Library pane by going to Poser Formats>My DAZ 3D Library>Props>FlinksTree6. Using the Poser files is more likely to get the base textures applied, but you will probably need to adjust settings - especially for the leaves - in the Surfaces pane anyway.
Richard,
Thank YOU!!! That did the trick! Didn't have to adjust much to render the tree. And thanks for the quick response. I hope this post is helpful to other folks who might be struggling with loading 3rd party content.
