ASINA - April Fools Competition 2024
Denizens of the Daz3D forum, we once again gather on this, the holy day of April 1st, and this year the stakes have never been higher. As you may have noticed, an alien invasion has taken place (Don't watch the news or anything, just trust me), and they come in search of forgotten relics. Before our destructive visitors tear our world asunder in search of these cursed relics, it's up to us to document their whereabouts, and return the wretched things before it's too late. Bring proof of relic sightings to our blessed thread, and you may very well be rewarded handsomely.
Tread carefully though denizens. The relics are said to be foul creatures, with piercing red eyes, jagged ridges, a blood-curdling roar and a deep disdain for us tampering meat sacks. Once we hand these depraved creatures back to their alien brethren, our world will return to normal, and we can welcome May with a refreshed sense of hope and optimism … and maybe even sweet prizes.
RULES
-
All Relic sightings must be rendered in the Daz ecosystem (Including carrara, bryce etc)
-
Your render must have a Relic in it (Banana suit optional)
-
Don't touch relics with your bare hands.
-
Standard Daz TOS rules apply on submissions. Think of the children.
-
Post your images in this thread. If you post them elsewhere, i probably won't find them, and that would be unfortunate.
-
If you're going to use AI in your submission, please tag them with "AI". It won't affect scoring but it will avoid confusion among other entrants".

I feel we have been warned. I'm sure it will be fine. But what is this Relic and Shopping Voucher stuff about? I suppose we must wait to see...
Can't wait!
Soon™
My curiousity is majorly peaked.
I wonder if it will be bigger than a cube or small with arms and creepy eyes!!.... hmmmmmmmm
Well, I don't know what it is, but I "bought" it.
I have it in my cart. Can I dare to download it? Will it blow everything up?!!?
no readme, too scared

Let's think about it: Asina is Latin and means female donkey. Is it the female form of the unforgotten inflatable Daz donkey?
All hail the Almighty Avocado
ooooh I was not expecting the fur in iray
I got it. I downloaded it. I have installed it. I am going to open it.............
Godspeed, soldier.
Ditto. I test rendered and FLUFF XD
What is this fluffyness for which we have been given??? What the heck do we do with it??
Howdy forum hombres, the rootin tootin rules are up and the comp is on. I'm going to get a zipped up version in the main post soon, for when daz inevitably yeets it into oblivion. I haven't used 3DL in a long time, and i don't use Bryce/Carrera - Does the displacement work ok over there? If it's going to be a headache, i'll see if i can do it myself and post up some presets so everyone can take part.
Thanks for taking part Denizens
Could this be the 1st....
of many???
relics?
Relics
OK, KA, I just want you to know, you brought this on yourself.
YAY! Time to drop all other projects and have some fun!
Found this sighting on the dark web.
...Once the importance of the artifacts were known, every government and corporate entity both known and unknown dispatched operatives to acquire them by any means necessary. When these operatives crossed paths on their respective missions, violence was inevitable.
This morning's internet search revealed what is believed to be a single frame capture from one of the "invader's" body cameras. (shown below) This frame reportedly contains an image of artifact KAAF040124 [REDACTED]. The alleged artifact appears to be in the possession of an individual we know only as 'AF'. Subsequent analysis of the apparent incident site revealed no survivors. The whereabouts and condition of the alleged artifact and individual 'AF' at this time, remains unknown.
Haha! Very nice.
Well no one can say Daz and it's users don't know how to have fun lol Great images so far.
awww the relic was way cuter than I thought it would be! I love it aha
here's my submission;
Pah, you wish. I will keep and protect my little fluffy wuffy squishy squiddy relic forever!
If it was dangerous, it wouldn't be friend-shaped!
Wait a minute, where's that little critter from, I can't find it.
It is an April Fool's Freebie - but likely VERY limited time only!
