Why sky domes don't work with iray?

Why don't sky domes work with iray?  I am trying an enviroment set that renders black in iray!  anyway to fix it?

Sky Domes block the light unless there are lights inside the dome. Go to the scene tab; click on the sky dome; go to the surface tab and see what image is in the diffuse slot; go to the environment tab and click on the Environment map and slot the sky dome image in there; go back to the scene tab and delete the Sky Dome; render the scene.
