Animate2 overrides timeline permanently?

So I was using the DS timeline and pose controls to animate one character in a very detailed scene, and using Animate2 to have another figure simply walk through the scene. Long story short, I accidentally added an aniblock to the wrong figure (The one I was using DS timeline to animate) and saved the scene that way. Deleting the aniblock/anitrack simply left the figure permanently standing in Zero Pose. I can still see all my keyframes on the timeline, but I don't know how to make them override Animate2. Is my animation gone forever?

After making the animation in Animate 2, while the figure may animate on the Timeline ... the procedure as I recall is to - from the Animate2 line "bake to the Timeline", then AFAIK it stays on the timeline.
