I was hoping to just delete everything from my content database so as I added things back they would be flagged as new and I would reorganize everything as I brought it in. However, even uninstalling Daz Studio did not "zero out" my database. When I add new products, they are not flagged as new.
How do I do a full reset of the content database, so as I add thing in they are marked as new, so I can do a reorganization as I go?
Thanks

If you truly want to erase your entire database and start from scratch, then In the Content Library pane click on the menu icon and select "Content DB Maintenance" > "reset database" .
Before you do it, make absolutely sure that's what you want to do! And back up your database first, just in case one of us misunderstood what you wanted (I would be loosing years worth of work doing this without a backup.... but it does sound like you want to start over.)
@sriesch
You understood me correctly. I only have one week invested in my database. It was out of control with stuff all over the place. I wanted to start over and organize things. By resetting the database I could add things one at a time and have them highlighted for me so I could find them.
And I think your reply is what I needed. However, theory and practice are not the same.
I did as you suggested, and it did clear my database. However, after that I tried to start (re)installing content and the DIM would lock up. I couldn't even kill the process, I would have to reboot my computer. I tried this about a half dozen times and only managed to successfully installl some content once. The other times it locked up. And on the one successful attempt, the new items where not highlighted in the database.
I decided to try the nuclear option. I started up DS and reset the database. Then I shutdown DS and uninstalled it. I then uninstalled DIM. I then manually deleted the associated directories that remained. Anything that had anything to do with DS or DIM. I then did a fresh install.
The first good sign was that DIM saw it was a clean install and autoinstalled the base set of content for a fresh install. I then installed one asset and it loaded fine and was highlighted in the content database as new.
At this point it is time for me to retire for the day. I will come back tomorrow and try to install more assets. Hopefully they will be recognized as new and I will be able to catagorize them as I bring them in.
Thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.
FWIW, this will never work — your content folder location isn't connected to the D|S program folder location, and the content database files aren't connected to either location. Uninstalling D|S has no effect on the content or on the database, both will pop right back up when you reinstall. The only way to fix this is to use the Content Database controls in the Content Library tab. There are also hidden files tucked away in odd corners containing various settings and defaults; you must have got them all with your "nuclear option".
