Changing diffuse color

I am trying to change the difuse color for an outfit in the surfaces tab.  When I click browse to find my selection for the file change, nothing changes.  Any thought as to why and how to fix it?

thanks

  • I can't seem to set the image map.  It just doesn't change the image.

    More information would be helpful.

Is this perchance an image you just edited? D/S has a cache so unless a newly made over image is given a different name, it will keep loading the old version.

Some know how to clear the cache in an up and running D/S, that doesn't seem to work over here, so the other way is to close and open D/S and reload the items - or as above, simply rename the new file.

You can hit ctrl-i to refresh the cached image, but it doesn't work all the time i've noticed. As patience said, You are probably best saving the scene and re-opening.

Are you working on a Mac computer? I have seen two other threads that describe a similar problem, and both users were using a Mac, with DS 4.9, I think.

TY must try this; I usually rename.

  • Thanks.  I am renaming but nothing happens and I do have the latest mac 4.9

Might help people help you if you posted a screen grab of exactly where it is you are browsing for your image from, etc.
The "call for" is a square button beside the color bar on the Surfaces Tab.

All sorted.  I now drag and drop the image and it works rather than trying to find it and select.
