Reinstalling everything - and how to stop it grabbing all the space on my system drive?

I'm reinstalling windows, and a big factor is the way that Daz studio grabbed MOST of the space on my SSD boot drive. And apparently it was not possible to move it after installation.
So the obvious questions are:
1) How do I ensure it doesn't grab all my boot drive space for content this time around?
2) How do I reinstall everthing?
I suspect that for bought content the second question will be easy - it should all show up in the downloader.and be selectable. (Fortunately I'm on a fast, unlimited connection), but I'd like to merge in things like the scene files I made myself. The old windows istall is on a different drive, and still accessible, (I have 2 windows 7 installs on the same machine now), so I'm hoping this won't be too painful.
Thanks in advance,
Nick

I are you using daz dim installer? If Yes then hopefully you did not check the delete installers and kept them on a dvd or portable HD. Then you just have to place all these installers in the dim install folder and reinstall, but (place the path to install in dim to your exteranal HD) Important if you don't want to fill up your ssd. If you didn't save files you have to reinstall everything from scratch if you want smart content and the ability to uninstall via dim.
Thanks, the bit about installing is clear.
But how fdo I control WHERE it goes? I don't want my C drive gettiong taken over this time around.
Thanks,
Nick
In DIM, click on the little circle symbol at the top right corner to get to settings (1), then change the install location (2) - you can set up a series of libraries if you want to by adding lines to this panel (3) - click the "+" to add a location, name it and click on the bar at the bottom to select that location instead of the default.
You can also change where files are downlaoded to in the Downloads tab. Furthermore you cn change where manifest and thumbnail files a saved by 'hacking' an *ini file in c:/Users/[User's Name]/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/UserAccount. Add the path to where the files to now be written after the following lines.
OverrideManifestDir=
OverrideThumbnailDir=
