Hi,

Divided Hallway (one of the legacy products from the featured artists stores) is only getting one extra 30 % discount while other products from the same category are also getting an additional extra 30 % discount, which is what I was expecting: one extra discount for the orange banner and a second extra discount for owning yesterday's golden ticket item (I also have today's GTI in my cart, but that's not necessary for the second extra discount to be applied, I think).

EDIT: All right. There's definitely an issue going on. It's actually only the products from today's headliner artist (PW productions) that are getting both extra discounts applied. This product from another PA is also getting only one extra 30 % discount (also in the legacy items category).

This is the opposite experience I'm getting. I'm getting where PW Productions is only getting orange banner, not the GT. But all the other artists (that I've tried, not extensive) are getting both. HOWEVER, I only have today's GT in cart; I did not buy yesterday's. Maybe that's the difference.

@SilverGirl In fact, I think that what you're seeing is the expected behavior. I mean, after the part where it says "Owners or buyers of any Golden Ticket get an extra 30% off*‡", there's this fine print: "‡Discount excludes Headliner Artists, and other Golden Ticket Items". That's probably why you are not getting the second extra 30 % discount on PW productions items (today's headliner). That I am getting a second extra 30 % on PW productions items, but not on items from other PAs is exactly the opposite of what should happen, I think. So strange. XD

I think PW is excluded from the GT discount as part of the "headliner" fine print.

ARGH! Missed that part of the GT fine print... thank you. I can now stop getting twitchy that it hasn't been fixed. =P

I'm only getting one 30% discount on Featured Artist items. I have the orange banner (which should give 30%), and I bought yesterday's Golden Ticket, and I have today's Golden Ticket in the cart (so I should definitely be getting 30% there). I'm not sure which one isn't working right, but something's definitely wrong.

Additional details: With just a single item in the cart, I get a single 30% on Featured Artist items, and 51% (i.e. both discounts) on both Debut and Still New Releases.

Seeing the same type of thing. I am getting a better discount on new releases {(81% off with the GT,30 for 30, and 8 tokens) IE: Farm Pod $21.99 x(.55)x(.7)x(.7)x(.7)=$4.14 in my cart} then I am getting on NON PW featured artists 78% off in my chart which works out to the Item x(.45)x(.7)x(7) IE FG Village $24.99x(.45)x(.7)x(.7)=$5.52 when it should be $3.86.  So either the 30 for 30 is NOT working on featured or the GT isn't, its one or the other, the Tokens work, and so does PW's extra 30 on his items Doubt it will be fixed in the next two and a half hours.

Edit: The new day fixed the two examples I gave.

They are plenty of strange behaviors. All screenshots were taken just now, so the situation may change in less than 30 minutes with the new Daz Day.

One example: Victoria 7 bundles and Teen Josie 7 Pro bundle are all in the 80 % categorie and all have a 86 % base discount but in the cart (80% base discount then the 30% discount for Daz Originals when someone is a Daz+ member), they don't have the same discount which is not how it supposed to be and means that only the Victoria 7 Pro Bundle get the two 30% discount (one for owning a Golden Ticket, on from the Orange Banner)

With a base price of $100, the maths are:

• 100*(1-0.86)*(1-0.3)*(1-0.3)=6.86 so a global discount of ~93%
• 100*(1-0.86)*(1-0.3)=9.8 so a global discount of ~90%

 

Another one, a new product have a base discount of 45% and ends with a 73% discount in my cart which means it does get the two 30 % discount (GT and Orange Banner). But an article from one the 55/65/80% categories (so eligible to the same two 30 % discount) ends with a 68 % discount in my cart, despite starting with a 55 % base discount. Which means it's missing one of the 30 % discount, because otherwise, it should have a higher final discount (~78%).

• 100*(1-0.55)*(1-0.3)*(1-0.3)=22.05 so a global discount of 77.95%
• 100*(1-0.86)*(1-0.3)=31.5 so a global discount of 68.5%

Look, I don't know that this is a sales issue, but it is an item that's on sale today and I don't have a better place to gripe about it.

This is an ADD-ON. Furthermore, it's an add-on for a product which is NOT IN THE DAZ STORE.

Now, I recognize that makes it hard to list the base product on the "requirements" line since you don't want to link to a Renderosity item there, obvs. On the other hand, one could argue that the store shouldn't be selling add-ons where the base item isn't available in the store AT ALL.

Whatever. It is not NEARLY obvious enough. Yes, down in the detail text it tells you this is an add-on, but it needs to be a lot more obvious than that. A LOT more obvious than that.

It's not worth my trying to get a refund for it--I paid two dollars--but this is extremely annoying. And the punchline is that the base kit I need is currently $17.44 which is about ten bucks more than it's worth, and obviously if I'd realized I'd have to pay that I would never have bought the add-on in the first place. Now it's an utterly unusable purchase.

I think your gripe is valid. I've heard a few people be disgruntled about being caught in that trap. I think you should return it, even if it is only a couple dollars. Daz won't read your post in the forum. If people return things like this, that may encourage Daz to change the way they advertise these things (or not).

"InStyle"is a companion texture set for InStyle - dForce X Fashion - Series 2 for G8-8.1 Females by SuperMassive.

I agree that they should be more clearly marked, and maybe shouldn't be in the Daz store, but there are definitely clues in the product names and descriptions. At one point I was thinking about purchasing an InStyle product or two, but looked more closely at them and realized what they were.

The add-on I bought (a while ago) was part of getting my cart to a certain amount to trigger things, so I didn't feel right about returning it... so now I'm stuck hoping that the base dress eventually migrates over because the artist who made it is on Daz. Just not that outfit.

Now cart blanche will not buy from that artist because I'm tired of having to do legwork to figure out whether I can actually use the thing that caught my eye.

I do wish there was some very, VERY obvious identifier somewhere for all texture add-on packs, because often the part where it finally says "texture" (or whatever) (providing it says it at all) isn't actually visible in the description from the store.

Most of their work is additional textures for products made by others

Yeah, I get that. My point is more that maybe some of them ARE to things that are in the Daz store, but I'm not even going to bother trying to figure it out.
