I'm working on a scene where I need to have a flat screen monitor shed light outward from the screen. I've tried a few different lights (spots, pin, etc.) but nothing makes it look convincing. I imagine it needs to be done using a combination of two lights (one to light the screen and the other to project light out from the screen? If anyone has done anything like this--I would love some guidance.
Edit: I'm using Studio 4.8.

I would make the screen an emitter. If you are using IRay, there is a built in shader that will get you started pretty quickly. Just apply that shader to the geometry of the Monitor. Or create a plane and line it up where the monitor screen is.
