What product to uninstall?

StarkdogStarkdog Posts: 162

Looking at a bunch of duplicate and missign errors for G9, below is a snippet from my log file:

Although I do have a D: drive, D:\DAZDevel\Hudson\HUDSON_HOME\jobs etc., IS NOT a path on my machine.  So, apparently, some product is trying to call a file from somewhere else.  What product is it, so that I can uninstall it?

Thanks, -David

This kind of error message is providing technical details that are only of relevance to the Dev team (and even then, only in some cases).

If you see things referencing Hudson_Home, DS is not actually trying to find these files on your computer, it's telling the Devs which code they (might) need to fix.

Actually in this case it' could be missing or updated files, as I don't have that "BaseFeminine_figure_ctrl_Proportions.dsf", but checking and updating DIM shows that I have an update for G9 starter essentials. I don't use G9 so haven't bothered checking or updating it.

I also dont have a "lLipLowerOuter" bone in my G9 main asset either, so looks like DAZ are still at it, release a figure then 6-  12 months later redesign it, breaking most content made before the redesign.

    EDIT

Just installed the update and no change to any DSF files worth meantioning, so it looks like those products are the ones that need updated.

Generally a store bought product has preliminary testing that would identify that kind of message early on and have those files removed.

Generally those type of eroors come from free content from other sites that don't  pre test their stuff.  Start looking there.

ALL of those types of messages I have for G3 and G8 figures are from Daz store products. And the list is long. At least one is a DO figure (Liam 8), but I'm pretty sure there's at least one more DO figure with similar messages.

Most if not all of the magic brush characters have errors and they are DAZ originals also, so they either are NOT checking or doing a very poor job.
