DAZ database gone?

Sorry for the cross post - I did not find the technical help forum at first.
Hi!
I had to change my email adress and after doing that I wanted to start the install manager. That programm asked for my password again (it was automatically inserted in the field before) but I forgot the password because I never entered it again. So I changed the password - and now it seems to be unable to find my database - I suddenly had no assets installed! Panicking I changed the standard install directory to my current DAZ-asset directory but nothing changed. I tried DAZ central with the same result. Also in DAZ my SMART CONTENT tab is empty!
What can I do now?

Why did you have to change your email address? I've never done that but I assume you'd have to go via Daz Support or something - are you sure you didn't just setup a different account and so you are now logging in as a user without any content?
I don't know too much about multi-account setups, but generally if DIM is showing none of your content installed then that is because you have either changed the manifest files path or removed the files. If Daz Studio is showing an empty Smart Content then you have either somehow reset your metadata or created a new empty database somehow. Neither of these things should be affected by changing an email address.
So you may need to supply more info on the exact things you did?
My old email address did no longer work corectly so I changed it on the "My Account" page of DAZ as there is a button to do so. Also I had to change my password (as said above) also through DAZ itself so that should work correctly. I don't know why the Install Manager and also DAZ Central don't either find the database or made a new one.
Assuming that you are logged into the website using the exact same details as with DIM, do you see all the products you have bought on the product library page? I've never changed my email address here so there may be some extra confirmation you have to do?
From what I understand Daz Central is depreciated and so should not be used anymore.
Either way, "Installed Products" in DIM are handled by the Manifest Files and so they should be there regardless. Smart Content is driven by the CMS which should also be unaffected by email/password change unless you have also logged into an account within Daz Studio - which you should not be doing if you install products using DIM.
On the product library page all my assets are there. I tried Daz Central after the Install Manager had the problem. CMS seems to be the problem, but for some reason after changing my email adress in Install Manager it seemed to have nulled the Database.
That does seem odd. As far as I am aware the state of the CMS database is not dependant on your Daz account details. For this to happen without any other error messages or something else not mentioned does not quite make sense to me. Perhaps someone else will have other ideas?
I wouldn't advise this until you determine why it's happened in the first place but if your previously-installed products are there but just not appearing under Smart Content then you can use the "Content DB Maintenance" -> "Reimport Metadata" function to put it all back in.
Is this just a matter of DIM showing what is isntalled? That has nothing to do with the database, the requirements are different (DIM needs to know thea bsolute paths, the database just needs relative paths). If you had changed the location of the manifests Archive in DIM's advanced settings, and if this has now genreated a new profile with the default settings, then it will not be seeing those manifests (nor thumbnails or downloads if they had custom locations) - the fix is to go into Advanced Settings and correct the paths.
DIM does not show what is intalled, DAZ Central also and the Smart Tab ist empty. I have changed the drive and path the assets are because of memory problems some months ago but then everything worked just fine. Just after changing of the email adress and password these problems started.
Also I tried to reimport the metadata but after hours of doing nothing - the task manager showed 0% CPU time and no activity on the drives - I stopped the program.
DIM and Daz Central don't have a way to chnage email, so you have created a new account with the default settings (possibly including the ContentCluster location for the database). It sounds as if you were previously using non-default settings, so you need to restore those and with luck your content will be listed correctly.
I finally found a way to solve the problem by changing the directories the IM used (after that the IM worked correct again but there was still nothing in the smart content tag) and changing the CMS setting in DAZ studio to the oldest directory that showed in the selection and then start cms again. Now everything works fine.
Thank you to everybody who helped me!
I have a similar problem. Since changing e-mail adress (as the old was closed) all my content in DIM is under the "Ready to download" tab. Very little (only the recent purchases) are under the "Installed) tab.
It is not a big issue as I can access everything from Daz studio but I would like to be able to de-install some of the old content that I do not use anymore. The hard drive is getting pretty full.
In DIM, the path is C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/ManifestFiles
In Daz Studio the CMS path is C:/Users/Public/Applications/Data/DAZ 3D/Content Database
The content directories are ;
CMS Cluster directory
C:/Users/Public/Applications/Data/DAZ 3D/Content database
Daz Connect Data
C:/Users/Myusername/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Daz Connect Library
Daz Studio Formats
C:/Users/Myusername/Documents/DAZ 3D/Studio/My Library
C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library
I feel that there is some inconsistency here but I do not dare to change anything without guidance as the program itself works fine.
Any advice on what to do?
The one that matters for showing as installed in DIM is the Manifests Archive. It's the .dsx fiels there that tell DIM what it has installed, and where. It seems that you had them in a different location, you would need to move the files from there (if you still have them) to the active Manifest Archive or point the manifest Archive to them and move the newer files across.
OK, thanks. Make sense. I do however have some problems locating the old manifest files. Maybe they are lost.
Appreciate the guidance.
This is still causing me trouble. I have located a lot of .dsx-files in the computer i used before. Can I safely copy them to the active manifest archive in my current computer and expect them to point to the correct installs? And do I have to copy the corresponding .zip-files or can i leave them?
Thank you for the clarification. What I have looked at is the Installation folder. In my example " C:\Users\Public\Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\ManifestFiles ". The .dsx files in my runtime/support seems to be there as they should. It is the installation data that is missing.
A typical .dsx file that I want to recreate contains:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<DAZInstallManifest VERSION="0.1">
<GlobalID VALUE="feb069b9-33ed-4723-bd3c-a9f59761784a"/>
<ProductName VALUE="Victoria 6"/>
<ProductStoreIDX VALUE="16281-1"/>
<ProductFileGuid VALUE="50b019d1-8c04-1e81-9bf6-4f9364e2f475"/>
<InstallTypes VALUE="Content"/>
<ProductTags VALUE="CloudAvailable"/>
<ArchiveDate VALUE="2013-11-22T20:28:36Z"/>
<InstallerDate VALUE="2013-11-22T20:28:36Z"/>
<UserInstallAccount VALUE="Account"/>
<UserOrderId VALUE="11221984"/>
<UserOrderDate VALUE="2015-02-21T14:43:43Z"/>
<UserInstallDate VALUE="2019-04-14T11:48:07Z"/>
<InstalledSize VALUE="226171677"/>
<UserInstallPath VALUE="C:/Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ 3D Library"/>
<File TARGET="Content" ACTION="Install" VALUE="Content/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Victoria 6/CTRLVictoria6.dsf"/>
<File TARGET="Content" ACTION="Install" VALUE="Content/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 2/Female/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Victoria 6/CTRLVictoria6.png"/>
etc, etc........
Does that make sense?
Yes, that's "manifest dsx", you can move them to your manifest archive folder.
Excellent, thanks for the feedback. I'll give it a try
