Trying to Rig a horn

Hi there,

I am trying to rig a horn using transfer utility but for some reason the weight map is being influenced by the Eyes, Arms and Nose. When I select these items in the Regions list, I can tell these are the culprits that is causing the rig to go out of wacky after I edit the weights on the other bones. Does anyone know how to edit the weight maps on these items?

1:         Before rigging

2:         After rigging, weight map clean up  and before dialing the character up

3:         After dialing the character. As you can see, those odd areas are controlled by the nose, eyes and arms. However, I can’t locate the bones to edit the weight maps.

            Can anyone help?

  • Weight mapping has nothing to do with morph following. What you need to do is assign each horn to a separate Rigidity group, using the Geometry Editor tool, and then for each set reference groups at the bases of the horn where they touch the head so that it will scale and move as the attachment point does.
