I'm rusty as I have not had time to touch Daz Studio much in the past year. I cannot figure out how to get rid of this kink in Birthstone Long Hair. I think it is because there is a collar under the hair, but am not sure how to solve for that. The outfit is Souls Keep. Help! Thanks!

That's the kind of thing that usually happens with morphs that have larger heads and/or narrower neck/shoulders than standard characters, like toons or Growing Up and similar morphs. What's the character?
...Is your character based on G9 or G8 as the outfit is only for G9? That can make a difference.
Sometimes when this happens with long hair, I manually parent and fit it which eliminates the kink yet preserves the movement/style morphs
Thanks for the clues. The character is P3D Ursula, and is Genesis 9. The clothing is also for Genesis 9.

You were right Gordig - head size is the culprit. I loaded a dev character and the Souls Keep outfit, and the hair worked perfectly. I experimented with some other charcters. Sometimes the hair worked, and sometimes it didn't. The size of the kink would vary with the head just as you mentioned.
It looks like the same sort of thing that happens when you have elf ears. Is there an autofollow setting somewhere you can disable?
With elf ears, you can typically just dial the elf ear morph out of the hair.
Oh interesting, I hadn't read about that hack, just the one where you un-autofollow it. Will keep that in my back pocket, thanks!
This is because of a full Body morph, with a shortened neck. Very annoying and if anybody finds a solution, I'd be more than happy about this. Even if you created a correction morph addressing this problem, this crack would come back up, as soon as you reload this scene.
Select the hair in question and in Parameters tab (with hidden properties enabled) look for the head/body morph of your character and dial it to zero. It should fix the problem.
