Downloaded files in Install manager

I have only recently started using install manager. I used to manually install everything. I am wondering with install manager what happens to the downloaded files if the installation goes to an external drive. Are those downloaded files somewhere on my main computer and if so, can I remove them?
I ask because when I manually download files I eventually end up removing the downloaded files as they take up a lot of room.

In DIM settings there is a path to where the downloaded files is.
In the Installation tab you can tick if you want the file deledted after installation.
Moved to Technical Help as it is not a Daz Studio application question.
OK this is really odd. I found where it says to delete the package after installation. But it was unchecked. I also see in advanced settings where the path is, but if I go to that path, there is NO folder install manager, let alone anything else.
I do see the option to delete package in the installed section. But when I click it, I don't think much happens.
I have no clue why there isn't any files in the specified folder, when it isn't set to deleting them.
You could try to untick 'Install after download' and then download a file. Then you should be able to find where the file is.
Mine is not set to install after download. I download, then select what I want and start queue. Totally confused. Mostly, if I have a ton of this stuff on my computer, I would like it gone.
