I have a ASUS ROG Zephyrus Gaming Laptop 2023 Newest, 17" FHD 144Hz Display, AMD Ryzen 9 5800HS, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Graphics, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Wifi6, Bluetooth, Windows 11 Home laptop.
Do you think it can handle DAZ studio?
and please no "buy a desktop!"
No. That's not a financial option for me. I've moved 3 times in the last year and went with a laptop specifically because I can throw it in a carry on bag on an airplane, and I'm too broke to afford even a shitty desktop right now.

yes. But if possible I would upgrade the RAM to 32GB.
Like zombietaggerung, I'd recommend getting as much ram as your laptop can hold, 16gb is pretty low. And make sure you cool it! That 4090 is going to get HOT. I'd also recommend you get external ssds for your content...I'm running out of space on my 4tb and I'll probably need to get a bigger hard drive as the larger ssds are criminally expensive down here.
As above, RAM and heat should be considered, DAZ Studio eats RAM for breakfast. The RTX-4090 can get very hot, and SSDs are also naturally hot. Arrange lots of airflow around, and below the laptop. A small desk fan wouldn't be out of order. And DAZ Studio libraries can get large quickly. So, another one or more TB of storage drive external to the laptop for your library and/or backups isn't unwise.
As others have noted, get at least 32Gb of RAM. The mobile RTX 4090 is actually a desktop 4080, which is a good thing because a true 4090 would be very hard to keep cool in a laptop. The GPU performance will still be great. I have a laptop with the RTX 4090 and am very happy with it.
