Problem with a clothing asset.

Hi, I bought these two assets, and for some reason, they are failing. First, I get an error with "metadata," so they appear without an image in smart content, and when I try to load them onto the compatible figure, nothing happens. I've tried reinstalling them, installing them manually, and trying to load them from the library, but nothing works. It doesn't give any errors or warnings, it just doesn't show anything.

Any idea? Thx smiley

I ever bought these items from Rendo site and had them installed with Content Wizard, so I did not see any issue of metadata or loading it to the figure. But I've seen that some folks complained about getting wrong metadata and/or wrong thumbnails from these products in Daz store...

As for the product thumbnail, go to runtime\support folder in your Daz Library, search by SKU number (94737, 95669), see if you can three files like the ones shown in below screenshot. A jpg or png image is the thumbnail of the product, if you get no image or the file name of the image is not as same as the DSX file, you have to correct them by yourself.

And you always can send a ticket to Daz asking for a fix or refund...

I looked it up, and there's only the dsx file for both. I think that must be the issue. The missing thumbnail doesn't bother me much, but not being able to add it to the scene makes it useless.

So, you tried loading the dress to the figure, but nothing happened?  could not get the result like what is shown in the below screenshot ?

As for the thumbnail, saving an image from the product page, resize it to 268 x 348, throw it into runtime\support, then rename it with the file name as same as the dsx file. You should get the thumbnail shown in Smart Content.

Exactly, the dress doesn't load. It simply doesn't do anything.

Are you sure it was a model you were loading, not a material preset? Have you checked the end of the log for errors after trying to load (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File)?

Damn, I see the problem now. Since there's an error in the smart content, the only way to find the file is by removing the context filter. Then, all the files appear numbered without indicating which one is the asset and which ones are the materials. I've tried them all and finally found the one that works as the asset while the others are just materials. Anyway, it's sorted out, but there's still an error because there's no thumbnail, and it doesn't appear in the smart content or in the right order.

    Thx!

So the case seems even worse, which means there's no any metadata (content type, category...) on each asset item... You have to define these information yourself... with Content DB Editor, and Categorize action.

Yes, most of the metadata is missing. I've already opened a ticket with customer support to report it.
