A way to hide x-rated content in Daz Studio?

I need a way to hide some of the newer anatomical elements in my smart content folder.

I personally don't mind that they are there but when I am live on YouTube they present a problem.

The simplest way would be to generate a new thumbnail, otherwise, you'll need to remove the content.

DS doesn't have any filter that would block it.

Is there a way to list smart content rather than show thumbnails?

Nope, it always shows thumbnails in Smart Content. You can just back up x-rated thumbnail imgaes, prepare an "NSFW" image to replace x-rated ones in runtime\support before your live show on youtube. When you're offline, restore them back.

Side note, anatomical elements aren't the only thing to be concerned about.

Some content comes with thumbnails that will violate TOS, lingerie and swimsuits for instance, and some other sites content comes with fully nude thumbnails.

I'd recommend just moving your content libray/smart content off of the screen you're sharing during your stream. If you have a secondary monitor. if not, get one, you'd be surprised how much a difference in productivity it makes.

 

Or create a library specifically for streaming, excluding all questionable content.

CDM(content directory manager) allows you to setup up multiple sets of folders and can easily be switched between.

The only drawback to that method, you'll have to do a lot of manual setup to separate out the directories.

I don't work with (notso) smart content, so i don't know how buggy that might get.

That has changed, Daz now has products showing closeups of anatomical elements. Full frontal nudity (or closeups of anatomical elements) is at least a 12 and sexualized nudity is 16.

In the Daz store, you mean. The amount of X-rated content in Daz Studio varies according to the user.

Are 12 and 16 "X" ratings? In the US, an R rating means anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult, but NC-17 (formerly X) means nobody under 17 permitted, and full-frontal nudity is not an automatic X rating.

Really? Can you please show me by link or search term?
As far as I know, X-rated is limited to age 18 and older.

I think, I am going to leave this discussion, for there seems to be a world view behind it(which is completely legit), I just cannot reproduce and understand.
My understanding is, that if there is an app, that displays the human body, it is unavoidable to deal with ANY anatomical details sooner or later.
The X-Rating is a cultural concept, that is seperated from the biological reality.
As far as I can imagine, there have been major discussions among the DAZ crew about how far they are willing to go, and mybe there are still discussions going on.
The "show mature" content filter check box is meant to address exactly this.
Maybe at some future point, DAZ is refining its filter system, for I personally don't like to see Fairy and Pixie stuff in the store.

There's more graphic content than that on Wikipedia.

The "show mature" content filter check box is meant to address exactly this.

That check box exists in the store, but not in DS itself, which is what the OP is after.

I am no native English speaker but I think "x-rated" sometimes may have a general meaning under some circumstances rather than really "sexually explicit" or even more pornographic. It can be generally considered as offensive...

So I think the first point from Gordig (his 1st post) makes sense to me. For instance, while I'm viewing this sort of products, my 10 years old little girl rushes to me for a hug, I'll definitely and instinctively think these promos are "x-rated" for her, at least at this moment, so I'll close my laptop at once...

BTW, if the similar cases were in my country, that would be totally illegal. I used to publish my tutorials on bilibili, there were a couple of times that my videos were rejected... just because some sort of "x-rated" thumbnails of Daz products were shown in the video, haha ~~ Then I had to recut it...

I just open the nude smart content image thumbnails and larger images in Photoshop and reduce the transparency to zero and save over them.
