Daz To Blender - how to fix incorrect rest pose when exporting characters with high heels?

So I came across a rather peculiar problem. If I export a character with high heels to Blender using the official plugin, the rest pose of the character is set to the default Daz rest pose instead of the foot pose set up when putting on the shoes. The only way I am aware of fixing the issue would require the duplication and application of the armature modifier, but that can't be done without removing shapekeys. This problem does not occur with all shoes but it is still annoying. Does anyone know of a way of fixing this (like updating the rest pose of the FBX export in Daz itself or such)?
