Nipples doesn't fit with breast texture (Genesis 9 Female)

Hey guys! I'm having trouble putting nipples on a Genesis 9 model that I recently purchased, a  Lara Croft model from Shadow Of The Tomb Raider game to be more specific. The problem is that unfortunately the texture of the nipples that come with Lara's model are a little high and all the 3D nipple models that I'm trying to place don't fit correctly, because they are too low. I wish I could post some screenshots of this problem but as nudity is not allowed here, I can only say in words.

I tested several plugins that I bought that add nipples to Genesis 9 Female characters, but unfortunately none of them worked, except for one plugin (I won't remember the name, but I think it was from the rendorgal user) that managed to fit perfectly with the texture, however I couldn't solve a problem that left some transparent "squares" above Lara's breasts. Can anyone tell me how I can solve this problem, please?

Assets used:

Nipples Add-On for Genesis 9

Geo-Grafting Navel and Nipples for Genesis 9

STX Nipples And Navel For Genesis 9

Lara Croft Shadow of The Tomb Raider for G9

One specility of G9 is there is no predefined point for the nipples based on geometry. But Daz has provided a template for where they should be placed.

Why the PA hasn't followed that is unknown. You could try to contact the PA.

I would think the easiest fix would be to take the torse texture into an image editing program and move the nipples as needed. Many such programs has an option for a "liquid move". Remember you should adjust all torso textures the same way for best result.

@Matt_Castle shared a set of morphs to move G9 nipples, maybe it'll help:

Well, this didn't happen with G8F models that I'm used to working on, so perhaps the quickest solution would be to edit in image software like Photoshop. Sorry, I'm a bit new to the subject of textures in Daz. Would I have to take the texture from Lara's files, edit the position of the nipples in Photoshop, and then put the edited texture back in Daz? Will I by any chance have to do UV mapping?

Believe it or not, I was looking for a solution to this problem right here on the Daz Forums, and I even downloaded this script but I couldn't get it to work. How do I use this script?

Unfortunately not in this case. Morphs will drag the texturing along with the geometry, so can't fix model textures being incorrectly aligned with the UVs.

The misalignment is a fault on the part of the model creator (although "creator" is a generous term for my opinion when a product is highly likely to be based on game files), and on a reputable store something that should be handled by submitting a ticket to get it fixed.

I think that may be optimistic in this case though (RH has not given me huge reason to believe they have a good support pipeline, given they're an uncurated store), so the most practical solution is probably going to be editing the textures in Photoshop to align the nipples with where other textures put them.

(My morphs might well be useful once the texture has been realigned if the OP would like them elsewhere, but unfortunately fixing the misalignment isn't one of their features).

It does look to be Renderhub vendor product problem.

I wish there was an easier solution to this problem, but in fact, the original creator should have provided the correct textures and that would be a good reason to open a support ticket on Renderhub, but since I don't have time for that I will try to fix this by myself.

Could you tell me how I can get Lara's textures from the assets to put them into Photoshop so I can fix it? When putting the textures back into Daz, will I have to do UV Re-mapping, right? Because I don't understand much about UV mapping to be honest, so there's a good reason to learn it now.

Probably, since I bought a few characters from there (mostly Genesis 8) and never had a problem like that before.

when you have your lara model open, go to surfaces>genesis 9>surfaces>body and click on the arrow on base color, click browse to find where the skin is for the character. Copy the path for the folder and open it on its own. Find the body textures for both base and sss if it has one. open both of them in photoshop. start with the base first.

select the nipples and start moving them down or up. save the file as a copy then go back to daz and clcik browse again, click on the copy you just made. refresh textures. see if the nipples are in the right spot. when you have them where you want them clean up the area with the healing brush.

do the same thing with the sss.

aditionally, you can open a body skin that does have the nipples in the right place in photoshop ontop of the lara skin. lower the opacity of it and then put lara's nipples where the nipples are in the other skin. then delete the other skin.

I can't help you on how to fix the textures, I don't use Photoshop and I never tried to do it with Affinity Photo, but the body textures should be in Runtime/Textures/[Vendorname]/[ProductName] in the library folder where you installed the product.

Another way to find where they are stored is by selecting the figure with the textures loaded, using the Surface Selection tool to click anywhere on the torso with the Surface Panel open, and them hover your mouse curse over Base Color. Here's an example with Michael 9:

I won't pretend to be an expert on UV maps (I only touched them one time on one item blush) but I never had to change them when I modified textures for props and clothes and I don't think you'll have to change them.

Thank you! I thought it would be a bit complicated, but it is very simple. I'll raise the texture nipples in Photoshop so they fit with the mesh nipples, a good way to fix this problem.

Thanks! I managed to find the torso textures, now I can change them in Photoshop and import them again to Daz.
