My colors are waaaay off

So, my character is supposed to have blue skin and black hair. 

When I render he comes out with brown skin and red hair!

I created the hair in strand based hair and it was black with a salt and pepper greay beard. 

(the first picture was the first time I worked on him. I had some issues with my files and had to start over...but the skin color was the same

How are you setting the skin colour? The skin shaders are quite complex and many of their settings have an influence on the final look, as does the lighting.

It looks like you have changed base color, but kept translucency color.

So eiher also change translucency color, or lower translucency weight.
