Is there a way to add extra categories to Smart Content?

Say I want to add a "Vehicles" category to Props in Smart content?

  • Yep, you just add it to the categories in content library.(right click>Create a sub-category)

Once you add an item to the category(right click the item(s)>categorize), it'll show up in smart content.

You may not get the tags on the images, as that's a bit more involved process to update/create the meta-data, and i'm not familiar enough with smart content(i organize on a file/folder level and manually install) to advise on that process.

There are several ways. This is one of them:

    1. In the Smart Content pane navigate to the prop you want to categorize
    2. Select it in Smart Content
    3. Right click it and select Categorize...
    4. A new dialog opens
    5. Navigate to where you want to add the new category and right click the item and select Create►Category Path...
    6. Type in the desired path and confirm all dialogs
