DS won't recognize Hexagon

I have DS4.8 and Hexagon 2.5.1.79 installed.  When I try to use the bridge in DS it says I must have Hexagon 2.5.1.5 and up installed.  What have I done wrong?

BTW - Where is the forum search?  If I type into the upper right 'Search Store' it takes me to Daz3D.com and out of the forums...weird.

You could read through this thread (I had nonworking bridges to Bryce AND Hexagon ...)

Thank you!  Will definitely check that out.

I checked out the thread that you shared but I don't have the one long key that has to be edited...the one under the one with (class) at the end.

I was just trying my versions of DS and this is what I found:

DS 3.1, DS4.6 and DS 4.8 (64) all bridge properly to Bryce.

    DS 3.1 bridges to Hexagon

DS 4.6 and DS 4.8 (64) do not bridge to Hexagon

DS 3.1 does not recognize .duf, does it?  Also, does anyone know if Color Curvature's Pose Morph Loader works with DS?

If the DS/Hexagon bridge ends up with an object that is grouped then this is all moot anyway.  If I import a grouped object into Hexagon and want to morph it across the group seams it will distort and open the seams so is useless.  As an example, if you have a shoe with a toe group and a foot group and you want the entire top surface of the shoe (instep) to be morphed 'up' the toe seam will pull away from the foot seam and gap.  I'm hoping that the bridge will treat the figure brought into Hexagon as a single group.  Is that how it works?

For the Hexagon bridge you need the dzInstall.ini in appdata - do you have one? (It's one of those folders that Windows hides usually - you have to unhide it).

.... only one D/S4.x per computer.

... the message in the 1st post is one that one normally gets when trying to run the older edition of Hexagon along with an edition of DS that requires the updated edition so maybe there is another file somewhere hidden? Uninstall cleanly and download a fresh copy of Hexagon to install. Hopefully that will clear out the old reference.

I have on another computer DS4.5 and the older Hexagon and of course the bridge does not work. And it throws that same message.

I appreciate both of your help and advice, thank you.

I should uninstall DS4.6 and Hexagon and then reinstall Hexagon again.  That is what I'll try doing.  I have the time now so perfect opportunity for me to try...fingers crossed.
