Reward for Survey Participation not accepted

Hi,

in the beginnig of the year I was asked by daz to take part in a survey. They promissed a 5$ reward for my next shopping in the DAZ shop.

Now I tried but it ever told "Coupon Code not valid."
Sorry guys, but I feel as if I was tricked. You are not behaving fair.

What are you trying to use that coupon on? It might not work on all products...

  • It should be good on DAZ Originals, but I'm having the same problem.

    Yes,

it doesn't matter what product I try, DAZ ever refuses.

    And generally:
If DAZ asks us for the favour they are not allowed to limit the refund only to special products. angry
In Europe there are restrictions by law against those methods.

It worked for me a couple of days ago.

You are sure that it is DAZ Original, not new and not PC+?

It is not a refund.  It is a gift, given for taking part in the survey.  All (or certainly almost all) Daz 3D coupons have some restrictions.  As has already been stated they do normally exclude anything that is not a Daz Original, anything that is a PC+ item and anything which is New (and that includes new Daz Originals)

You need to check the catalogue for Daz Originals only, and make sure that they do not have the green New flash across the corner, and are also not PC+ items.

    So far - understood. wink

But what if there aren't interesting DAZ-Originals, but one of another author? Every circumstances making those products "cheaper" would be welcome.

Honest: The survey was not a favour for the "author DAZ Orignals"; it was a survey related to the whole DAZ community - us all !!

But Daz 3d Sends out the survey.  Daz 3D owns Daz Originals, so can give them away.  It doesn't own the PA products, so it can't give them away, not without the permission of the PA.

One thing that seems to be missing is the understanding that Daz is a brokerage...a large portion of its products may be sold through its store, but it does not own them in any way.  So the only things it can, legally, discount, without explicit consent, are those products it (the company) does actually own.  In addition, they also restrict currently discounted items from 'special' things like coupons...which is also a very, very common and legally allowable business practice.

Using coupons is always an exercise in frustration.

Like, the pop up had a button saying 'Daz Originals!' Except if you press the button, you go to the store filter... at least half of which are entries inelligible for the coupon.

At least 3/4 of these problems would be solved if the store had a filter for 'NOT PC+,' since PC+ items are disqualified from a lot of coupons.

  • +1 for a "NOT PC+' filter.

I didn't do the survey for the coupon, I did it to feed back my comments. If the coupon hadn't materialised I'd have been a bit peeved but shrug it off and move on. Because that was a bonus, not the point of doing it. I don't have access to the original email at the moment, but I think it said DAZ Originals, the pop-up certainly did and I didn't have a problem with that. And I am in Europe too.

    OK.   The coupon said

     Your $5 Coupon Reward

Thank you for participating in our recent survey. Please enjoy $5 off your next purchase of Daz Original products. Use Coupon Code: code removed to enjoy this reward!

    Shop Daz Originals

Typical restrictions apply: Excludes PC items and New Releases. One use per customer. Offer expires Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:59PM (MDT, UTC -7).

So it does say DO, non new and excluding PC+ items.
